Phyllis East Rodney

Phyllis East-Rodney, affectionately known as Blossom was born April 22nd 1949 in Seaford Town Westmoreland, to Parents Ivy Grey and James East. The union produced two children; Alfred and Phyllis. Alfred predeceased in 2017. Phyllis at the tender age of two, was brought to Senior by her Father, James East, to reside with his Wife, Ms. Dassa. Ms. Dassa and her entire family welcomed Phyllis with open arms. Not many folks in the community were aware that Phyllis was not Ms.Dassa's biological child. Phyllis was loved by that phenomenal woman who we have come to know as our Grandmother. Phyllis attended Senior Primary School, then went on to Cambridge middle school, where she learned and mastered her skills in fine authentic cuisine. Phyllis was a great cook, because of her expertise in fine cooking, she ventured into the tourist industry and was well known throughout Montego Bay and adjoining communities. Phyllis operated several guest houses where she showcased her talents in cooking and providing entertainment for visitors vacationing on the island. Whatever was presented on the menu Phyllis knew how to prepare and served with pride. Phyllis procreated and gave birth to four children, Lloyd, Annette, Margret and Ruel. Lloyd and Annette predeceased their mom in death. Phyllis later met the love of her life and the two formed a union. Mr. Rodney meant the world to Phyllis. Please do not say anything about her husband or else you're in problems with her. I know her husband loves her as much as she loved him. My brother and I loved our mom dearly, I am not sure if she knew how much we did, but God knows. What I haven't done for mom I clearly wasn't able to. We loved our Mom but God loves her best, he said you're time has come, no time to bid farewell. Phyllis your chapter in the book of life has now been closed. Phyllis' life will forever be cherished by her Husband; Newton, her Daughter; Margret, Son; Ruel, Stepson; Jimmy, Stepdaughter; Remi, Two Granddaughters; Aisha and Kimmani, One Grandson; Rashawn, Sisters; Gwen, Cherry, Sylvia, Winsome, Cynthia and Joycelyn. Brothers; Dudley, Conrad and Patrick, A host of Nephews and Nieces.
